Takin' 1 for the Team

An exciting game yesterday at Optimist field versus the Lincoln Synergy. A game packed with double plays, Home runs, excellent pitching and past balls. Oh and don't let me forget elbow crushing blows.

At Jackson's first at bat of the night, first pitch...POW!!! Right in the elbow! Needless to say the #1 rule in baseball was broken, No crying in baseball. After walking to his base and getting pinch-runner Jackson came back into the dugout to find himself with a baseball sized bruise on his elbow. That didn't stop him from playing though, he was back out there on defense ready to make some outs.

The LEGENDS looked a lot better this time than the first time they played Synergy. The score was 7-3 Synergy going into the last inning were Synergy scored 5 to finish the game 12-3, but that's not the point. We produced 2 double plays in the night and looked really good on the mound and behind the plate.

The boys are coming together and really starting to play well.

Tomorrow we take our "A" game to the metropolis of Council Bluffs to verse the River City Owls in a midday double header.

I'm JC,
Keep it classy Lincoln!
